Food drop off information for State

One more reminder. We have 2 buses tomorrow. The first one is for the varsity and alternates. It leaves at 8:15. The second is for all other team members. It leaves at 9:15. The whole team is expected to be in attendance. Be sure to wear your cross country sweats. Meet at the tent. Seniors please walk the second bus kids around the course and assign them a spot to cheer. Needed mostly around the mile mark as many fans don’t make it there. See you tomorrow!!! It would be most helpful if you could get your items to the Varineaus today or to school early tomorrow this will allow us to put the items in the cars that have infield passes and set up early. Here are the details: > > 1. You can drop food to the Varineaus between 2:00-7:30 today. Their address is 530 Morris Ave SE Grand Rapidsphone: 458-3733. > > 2. You could have your food to the HS by the time the varsity bus leaves tomorrow morning at 8:15. The Varineaus and Schenkels will be there to put your items in their cars. They plan to leave when the varsity bus leaves. > > 3. You could send your items with your runner. Keep in mind they need to travel a great distance from the bus parking to the tent and there will be no coolers on the Bus. > > **We will have coolers with the transporting cars so your cold items will been taken care of. > > **I am planning on coolers from: Van Orman and Bishop families. Amy Schenkel and Gwen Varineau please email me if you have a cooler as well. > > > Go Eagles!!!! > > Amy Van Orman > > Sent from my iPhone > >> On Nov 1, 2015, at 2:13 PM, Debra Jager <> wrote: >> >> Parents: >> >> What a great day for GR Christian at Allendale! Both teams win their regional and advance to the state finals Saturday at Michigan International Speedway. Although the rain and soft course slowed the times, we still ran great. As we tell the kids ” place is more important than time.” Here are details for this coming week. Our state team and alternates will practice all week like normal. Anyone else on the team may also run but it is not mandatory. Anyone in our top 12 in either yesterday’s meet or the conference final should plan on practicing. For the final, everyone on the team should plan on attending and cheering on those 7 who will represent our team and school. Here are details for Saturday: >> >> Bus for state team, alternates, and coaches – 8:15 AM >> Bus for JV runners – 9:15 AM >> Girls run at 1:30 PM >> Boys run at 2:30 PM >> >> If you plan on watching the final, plan on at least 30 minutes to walk into the stadium from your car. Tickets are $7.00 per person. If any of you parents wish to ride the 9:15 bus, I’d appreciate it. It’s good to get an adult presence plus you will get into the meet free. Please let me know if you can ride this bus. >> >> A couple reminder notes: >> – Uniform and sweats must be turned in either Tuesday or Wednesday, November 10 or 11 from 2:45 – 3:15. Please wash, empty pockets, and remove safety pins. Please make this a priority. Each year I have to chase uniforms down. >> – Team banquet is Thursday, November 19 from 7-9 in the all city gym. Pizza, drinks, and place settings provided. Please bring a dessert or salad to share. >> >> Thanks for your support! We really appreciate all the fans we get, even on nasty weather days like Saturday. We also really appreciate your prayers for the team and coaches. >> >> Hope to see you Saturday at MIS!! Doug
