Cross week of Sept 12

Parents: Here are details for cross country this week: 1) We return to optional weights Monday morning at 7:15. We have been getting a good turn out for these sessions, averaging nearly 40 kids. We end by 8:15.  We hope your child can make it.  2) We can still use a few more volunteers for our first of two big invites this year, now less than 2 weeks away, on September 24. ( Cougar/Falcon at the Eagle’s Nest) Please contact me to add your name.  3) This Friday we travel to East Lansing and run at Forest Akers East golf course in the MSU invitational. This large meet features college races as well as high school and middle school. Our varsity teams are entered in the Elite division reserved for ranked teams in any division. The competition is very tough. Because we run early the kids will be dismissed early from school. ( At least 45 minutes, as you will be shuttle from a parking lot. ) Also, as is true for every Saturday race, there is an entry fee. 4) We have no meet Saturday, but will have an optional practice. We will meet at the Gainey at 8:30 AM. We will serve some breakfast food after the practice.  I will buy bagels and donuts. Your child will be asked to bring a drink or fruit to share.  Please continue to uplift the team in prayer. We appreciate it! Be sure to call/text me if you having any questions – 616 723-6345 Doug
