Cross week of 9-5

Parents:I trust you had a relaxing Labor Day Weekend and are now ready for cross country to really get going. Here are details for this week: 1) We have two meets at South Christian this week. They have athletic fields at 7979 Kalamazoo. The first meet is OK Gold jamboree # 1. All boys will run together at 4:45.  All girls will run together at 5:15. All seven schools in our new conference will run. The first 3 jamborees are worth 20% of the league title, with the fourth and final jamboree worth 40%. The boys bus will leave school at 3:00. The girls bus will leave at 3:30. There will be one return bus. Kids can ride with a parent home or a friend with parental permission. Our second meet at South is on Saturday, the Christian Schools meet. I have not received start times yet, but I think boys varsity will begin at 9:30 or 10:00, followed by girls varsity, boys JV, and girls JV. There will be two buses to the meet leaving at 7:30. One return bus.  2) Our long sleeve warm up shirts will arrive soon. Just a reminder on the details. We charge $10 for the shirts. The actual cost is $17.00, but I take the rest from our gift account. If you choose to buy a shirt for $10, it is your shirt. We use them each season. If however, you would not like to buy one, that is fine as well, but it must be returned to me at season’s end. Lost shirt replacement is $17.  3) Friday is the last day to be added to our sponsor list for the large meets we host, the Cougar/Falcon at the Eagle’s nest, and the County Meet. The cost for you or your business is $400. 100% goes right into our gift account! To sponsor, contact me ASAP. 4) We could still use more help for the two meets I just mentioned. If at all possible, please consider it. Yes, hosting meets is a big deal and requires a fair amount of work, but we don’t drive 2 hours each way and we get to show off our nice cross country course! We still need finish chute help, course marshals, parking help, and water fillers. Let me know if I can add your name. 5) Finally, we could still use some more help on three of our meets with tent set up.  Help is still needed at MSU, Otsego, and Portage. Here is the link to sign up: Thanks for your tremendous support! See you Wednesday and Saturday. Please continue to pray for us, Doug
