Cross week of 9-10

Parents:
It was good to get some cooler weather for the kids to race in yesterday, and even better to have no rain. ( It’s been rather wet lately)
Here are details for this weeks meet at MSU. The meet is located at Forest Akers East golf course. Please allow at least 30 minutes to get into the venue, as you need to be shuttled in.
9:45 – Bus departs school. Kids will be dismissed early, but should make arrangement with teachers on assignments.
1:10 – Boys varsity
1:55 – Girls varsity
2:20 – Boys JV
2:50 – Girls JV
4:45 – return bus to school
The varsity teams are entered into the elite division, where only quality teams are allowed in. It can be very humbling, but good prep for big meets still to come. The JV races are very big and crowded.
We will again have an early morning run opportunity Monday for those that might prefer to take advantage of the later start. Run will begin at 6:30 sharp, so arrive on time to start then.
The deadline to sponsor our two big invitationals is today. If interest, email or call today so I can add your name on the t-shirts.
We once again will be doing the Foot Locker trip on Thanksgiving weekend. Here are the details briefly: The trip lives Friday morning, November 23 at about 10:00AM and returns Saturday night around 9:00PM. The cost is $80 per person. Includes motor coach, hotel, and breakfast Saturday morning. It does not include other meals or race entries. Enter race at footlockercc.com MIDWEST Regional. (DO NOT get the pasta dinner. We stay around the hotel area for dinner.)  This really is mostly just a fun trip to end our season, although some kids to try one last time to set a new PR. Sign ups will start Monday.
If you are signed up for tent duty this season, first of all Thank You! It’s so nice to have it set up and ready when we arrive. Each week there is a parent team leader who will contact you with details on set up and take down. So look for an email or phone call from them.
As always, please keep us in your prayers as we navigate the season together. We love your partnership!
