Cross Week of 11-4

Parents:
It’s hard to believe, but our season is officially over. I really want to thank you for your support all season. It’s truly a great blessing!  What a great way to end too, with Olivia W, Jack L, and Ethan W earning all-state!!!  Although competition is over, we do have some items to wrap up:
– The team banquet is Tuesday, November 12 in the all city gym. It will begin at 6:00 and end about 8:30. Seniors should arrive about 5:45 to help set up. School will supply pizza, drinks, and place settings. Please bring either a dessert or salad to share. No need to RSVP.
– All kids must turn in uniforms and sweats. ( If they are running track, they may keep their uniform, but must contact me to let me know.) We are having a slight change in how they are turned in this year. Kids may bring uniforms/sweats into either coach Peterson’s room or coach Hoekstra’s room until 3:00 any day this week. They MUST turn them in to one of these two in coaches in person as they will verify numbers on the sweats. Please have them cleaned with pins removed and pockets emptied. All who don’t turn them in will have their names turned into the office and will not be allowed to take exams.
– When turning uniforms and sweats in, the kids need to vote for team MVP and rookie of the year. ( Boys vote for boys and girls for girls.) Rookie of the year needs to be a first year runner. Voting will end on Wednesday at 3:00.
I guess that’s it for today. If your child is interested, we will start winter training in about a week. Training in the winter can be fun when done with friends, so if your child is not doing a winter sport, encourage them to join in. More details next week.
Thanks for your faithful prayers all season, Doug
